1956 Lincoln Premiere Two Door Hardtop
Description:
Finished in Starmist White with a Wisteria roof over a matching interior, this rare first-year 1956 Lincoln Premiere two-door hardtop benefits from a high-quality older restoration. This car is very well documented from new, going back to the original bill of sale and photograph of the original owner as she took delivery of the car in Great Neck, Long Island, New York in 1956. The car's odometer reading of just over 65,000 miles is believed, but not confirmed to be actual at this time.
Powered by Lincoln's 368 cubic-inch, 285 horsepower Y-Block V-8 engine coupled to a 3-speed Turbo-Drive automatic transmission, this particular Premier offers the exceedingly rare factory air conditioning option in complete and functioning order. Air conditioning on these cars was unique, with the evaporator in the trunk compartment and the vents connected to tubes that extended from the rear parcel tray. Additional desirable features include power steering, power brakes, power windows and even a four-way power adjustable seat that also works great.
