Ohio Summer Classic Car Auction
Pre-war Classics to hot rods of the 1950s can all be found at the Ohio Summer Classic Car Auction at the John S. Knight Center August 29th and 30th.

The auction, the first classic/collectible event its kind held in the state of Ohio, will boast more than 250 classic vehicles ranging from Model Ts to the cars of the 60s and 70s. Classic cars already consigned include vintage Mercedes, Jaguars, Cadillacs, Packards and Pierce-Arrows. This is a land mark event for Ohio and the classic car industry. In years past public classic car consignment auctions of this type (common to venues such as; Scottsdale, Arizona, Palm Beach, Florida, Pebble Beach/Monterey, California, and most of Europe) have been banned in Ohio. Classic Motorcar Auctions is delighted to bring the excitement of a nationally significant high end classic car auction to Ohio.

"It will be exciting to have a classic car sale of this magnitude in Northern Ohio. It will be much like what you have seen on national television," says Bob Lichty, President of Classic Motorcar Auctions. He continued, "to be able to bring buyer and seller together in our area is phenomenal."

In addition to classic cars a large assortment of automobilia will be offered to open the sale each day. Expect to find your favorites including tin signs, toys, petrolania, antique gas pumps and the like.

Due to the rich car enthusiast area the sale is taking place in, many vendors in the classic car hobby, both locally and nationally, will be on hand to display and demonstrate their wares. In addition to businesses related to the classic car hobby, lifestyle vendors including art, jewelry, and fashion will also be on hand.

The Ohio Summer Classic Car Auction weekend opens to the public both Saturday and Sunday (August 29th and 30th) at 9am for preview with the memorabilia auction beginning at 11am and classic cars at noon. Spectator admission will be $15 Saturday, $20 for a weekend pass or $10 for Sunday only. Free parking is available on the street or adjoining parking deck after 5pm Friday through the weekend.
